I am trying to add a jog on a leader of a regular dimension (non-ordinate).

I thought on the earlier versions on Solidworks you could do it. When leader run so CLOSE to together, I looked at moving the dimension to another view, but in this case I am limited.

Any help?

Thanks

You still cannot add a jog to a dimension leader, as far as I know, but you can to a note leader. You could always create a note, link the dimension value to the note and hide the dimension. You would then be able to add a jog to the note.

Hope this helps.

GTCadGuy, well I thought there was, I just got thru using Catia for a year, I think that is where I got it from.

The note way, can you have a note with leaders on both sides?

designmr,
You can have a leader on both sides, but SolidWorks seems to determine if the leader is on one side or both. You can add a second leader and drag the note around to a position where a leader is on both sides.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll try it....

You can also use the "Mulitjog" leader tool to draw it manually. It will snap to notes but not dimensions.
