Illuminated Auto Buttons

What are the pro's & con's of the current technologies for producing illuminated cabin buttons? I believe In-mould decoration and 2K techniques are most commonly used. How is the quality of the effect measured by oems and is angle of observation important?

angle of observation is going to be almost exclusively controlled by the led type used, and I do reccomend led's over bulbs less heat and no colored lenses to wory about adding in the assembly. also much more compact.
