Hello Everyone!

I have been trying to develop a product which requires the assembly of a silicone slit valve in a plastic component.
I bought a product containing this assembly but I can't seem to figure out how it is done.
The picture below show what I am trying to achieve.

I am assuming that the same principal is applied to achieve the assembly in this picture:

Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks

My first guess is that since the transparent component is injection molded, then the total assembly would be done in a co-injection process. This would support high-volume requirements.

Another guess is a 2-part assembly with the silicone component over-molded/insert-molded into the full assembly, or assembled and heat-staked or ultrasonically welded to the transparent component.

UV-cured adhesives could also play a role.
