h/tw limit for the star type steel column

hi

we are using the star type columns, refer attached sketch

for calculating the h/tw limit for section classification as per aisc,

can we take half of column depth as h (H/2) for the calculation.

Since this is symmetric t-sections about center.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
 
By the way, that shape of column is typically called a cruciform.
