Are any of you American structural engineers familiar with using Graitec software: Advance Steel or Advance Design? I believe it is a french company who mainly advertises compliance with Eurocodes but does mention options for AISC. Im curious to know if the calculations are actually based on AISC, offering asd, let's, etc. The demonstations look very impressive. Unfortunately I know I'd be paying dearly for the detailing software that Advance Steel is based on but the connection designs may seem worth it. Maybe I'd have to start picking up some detailing jobs to justify the cost.

Hello Jonk97,

The North American version for Advanced Design called Advanced Design America (ADA) uses both AISC-LRFD-05 and AISC-ASD-05 as standards for its steel design, as well as several other Canadian standards (CAN/CSA-S16-01, CAN/CSA-S37-01, CAN/CSA-S6-88, CAN/CSA-S6-00/06 & S136-01-Cold Formed Steel Design).
Advanced Steel (AS) also uses AISC standard for its steel connections and is 100% compatible with ADA. This allows for the structure to be designed in ADA and then transferred to AS for the steel detailing to be completed.
Hope this helped.
