Good Source for gasket compression information? 1

I have had trouble looking for various gasket material properties. Mostly having to do with compression characteristics.

Most of the time I can get the compression set for a material I am looking for, but not the compression strength or the minimum seating stress.

Any ideas?

Many of the major gasket manufacturers are testing various types to the EN13555 standard which defines load-leakage, creep relaxation and compression etc., and to gather this data for the EN1591 flange design method, this data is being collated at the University of Munster in Germany, and is to be found on the gasketdata.org website.

I have sent out emails to manufacturers and distributors but I have only gotten a few emails back.

I just went ahead and designed a spacer to be able to torque the bolts to a hard stop and calculated the yielding point of the spacer and I will torque to less than this (10%)

since the application is a vacuum chamber the torque required is very low for such a large flange (1" bolts)

I was trying to look into the EN1591 since I had read that the method is a bit more modern and accurate than the ASME S8 D1 method, but I had not been able to find a copy and the through my works subscription program it was still prohibitively expensive.
