In are plant the majority of plc's are on the network,If know the IP address boom your there. we have A hand full that are not on the network and sometimes I get tripped up.

I'm attempting to go online with A micro logix 1000, I was given the cables to get me started. I'm using the USB with A
keyspan adapter which I've used this before.

I'm getting A no response from processor at selected path/node - diagnostic status failed ox4. can anybody guide me through this simple task, I've kicked myself long enough.

I'm not sure but i believe it might be in my driver and or driver configuration

Have you tried going to RSLinx after connecting your cable and doing an "Auto Configure"? This is usually a quick way to check the DF1 connection.

How about if you go into RSLinx and click on RSWho, do you see the processor?

When configuring the DF1 driver with a USB2SERIAL adapter auto config rarely works. Just configure it for the correct com port that the usb2ser takes on and 19.2k 8 n 1 no handshakn. If that does not work try different port speeds and if still having issues then the port could be configured for dh485 in which you would need a 1747-uic to connect.
