Hi,
I have a problem pasting a picture from Word to Autocad, even if i use the Paste Special (i choose Autocad entities)what happens is it loses some lines and arcs etc. by the way the picture came first from Gerber then it was pasted to Word then copied and pasted to autocad. I hope you can help me in my problem regarding this issue,I use Autocad 2000 (way behind huh!). I'm just new in autocad please help.

Thank you,

Does it just lose lines on the screen or in the final printed output as well? If it is just on the screen, it may be that the resolution isn't high enough. What happens when you magnify it? Try pressing shift and scrolling the mouse wheel. Do the lines suddenly appear?

If memory serves, Gerber files include location and identification information for graphical objects (like stickers) that represent IC packages, and lines for interconnections. The lines may translate directly; I'm not sure about any lines or circles within the stickers.

Try a different translator, I guess. Maybe you can get a demo of one of the commercial versions.

There are several Gerber to DXF translators. But if you can't find one for free I can probably do it for you.
