I was working in an old spreadsheet and found something strange happening. I am sure there is some goofy setting somewhere but I have never seen this before. Take the following 3 columns of numbers:
10 2 5
8 4 5
0 0 5
The 1st two columns are numbers, nothing special. The 3rd column is an equation that divides the 1st column by the 2nd column. In the top row it is correct. I then dragged that equation down to be repeated on the following rows. If I look in the cell the equation is correct, the row numbers change as they should. BUT the calculated value displayed in the cell remains constant at the value calculated in the original cell. Doesn't matter what order I drag copy the equation, the value in the cell where the equation originated is the value displayed in all other cells. If I manually type in the equation in each cell I get the correct answer so it is something to do with the drag/copy function.
Anyone know what is going on?
