floating Teamcenter licenses

We have floating licenses for NX CAD, which is quite handy. We have more engineers than seats of NX, but not everyone ends up needing to be using NX all the time. So, when someone exits NX, their license becomes available for anyone else on any other workstation, regardless of their login.

In contrast, it seems like our Teamcenter licenses are NOT floating; or rather, they are tied to a specific login. It would be far mor convenient if the TC licenses acted the same as NX CAD licenses. Can anyone comment on this; is it possible to have floating TC licenses that behave like floating NX CAD lic's; or what is the benefit of the current TC lic behavior?

Thanks.

We're in the process of implementing Teamcenter. In our evaluation of the various PLM products, we found that TC licenses are not available as floating licenses. We're using Solidworks for MCAD (floating licenses) and the TC licenses for the Solidworks integration do float. Not sure how this works with NX and TC.

As to your question on the benefit of the TC license behavior, I don't see a benefit to the end user.
