Back in May 2012, MGuard posted the following thread: thread554-321152
Essentially, does anyone know how to access/drive the New Value of the varied item without going through the Edit Definition->Options->Varied Items->Parameters path? I believe what I'm trying to do is similar to what MGuard was asking but not exactly the same. I've got an Inheritance feature with Varied Items and I want to use a part parameter to drive the value of the varied item. This will allow me to use Program at the next level assembly to drive the length of the spring in the assembly based on the space constraints within the assembly.
Any thoughts?
