When I creaste a section view in a drawing defined by a line across the parent view, the position of the AA, BB etc arrows is defined by the end of the section line.

moving these defining secton arrows seems long winded. I have to edit the sketch line ad they are locked to the end ponts of the sketch line(s).

Whjen the section is already all the way through the part thereis no change to the actual section view. Is there isnother way to move the section arrows? I was expecting to just drag them wherever I wanted.

Am I missing a trick here?

Instead of locking down the endpoints of the line, lock the line itself down while leaving the end points free. This way you can edit the position of the AA BB without having to edit the base sketch of the section.

Thanks
I wasn't actually putting my mouse in the right place, and therefore not getting hold of the end of the section line.
In another software I could simply drag the arrow and the end of the line came with it. In SW with that you can only drag the arrow longer.
I'm sorted now.
