I have used Draftsight for several years on another, less powerful, computer. Now I would like to install it on this one. It is a Dell 780 Optiplex desktop and a 22 inch monitor. It has 8GB of RAM and a hard drive of 2 TB. It is running Windows 7 and 64bit system.

The install from the .exe file halts immediately with an error message without a number. I have attached a screenshot of it.
Any help is appreciated.

Then you probably have a corrupted CAB file, like it says.
Are you installing from a CD (scratched?) or from a download (incomplete?).

Displaying images in-line with your post (instead of concealing them in a link and a download) will dramatically improve the response rate to your questions.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

That, and putting it in the correct forum always helps too!

I agree with the corrupt file suggestion too. At least until you hunt down and erase the one you have THEN download it again. If the system sees it's already there it may not download it again.
