Hi All, I have a small DOD project that requires the door frames be anchored to the wall to withstand blast loads. I was given the following:

blast load from charge weight II is 2.24 psi with an impulse of 14.5 psi/msec. Is there any way to convert that to a static load for design?

The greatest trick that bond stress ever pulled was convincing the world it didn't exist.

Difficult, and next to impossible to work out in the timeline of an average project if you are starting with a question here. There are spreadsheet based programs, and on in particular by DRES, but without knowing a lot more than you do now I don't think you can apply them with enough confidence to handle the job properly.

Are you Canadian? Contact CERL; They will happily help you do this for a nominal cost. I used to work there; Let me know if you want a name to go to... Don't really want to post such contact info publicly.
