Color face Icon in NX8.5.2.3

I recently updated NX8.5 to 8.5.2.3. I noticed a new icon called color face on the Synchronous modelling toolbar. Sometimes when I open NX it is there, other times it is not. I've tried a command find on it but to no avail....I'd like to use this feature. Is there a way to get full time use?

I can't find anything about this myself although I do recall someone working on this. And it appears that the icon disappears when a new part file is opened. And that it's not even available in NX 9.0 so perhaps it was 'not ready for prime time'. That being said, I will open a PR against NX 8.5 in an attempt to get a reading on what's the status of this function. If I learn anything I'll post it here.

I have just installed qrm8.5.2. and the icon is there. But, if I change the application let's say from Modeling to Drafting and back to Modeling, the icon will disappear. I have to restart NX now, start modeling application and the icon is back. But as soon as I change the application, the icon is lost again. It looks like a bug, ready for GTAC.

One more info. My guess is not to install this QRM at all. For example, exporting to dxf/dwg works better in qrm 8.5.1mp3. Then, there is a problem in Full Screen mode. Sometimes, I can not open Part Navigato, sometimes I can. And who nows how many other bugs are there. I will uninstall it right now and go back to 8.5.1mp03.

Why haven't you upgraded to NX 8.5.2?
