This building is built in 1979 and has manufactured roof wood trusses. I am looking for the required ceiling or attic space live load at the time of the construction. The building is built per 1979 unifor building code. There is no storage load in the attic space.

Usual would have been 10 psf, and the 1976 UBC probably applied.

Hi:
Thanks for your help. Actually I was looking for the code section about the requirement for the 10 psf. I could not find the 10 psf requirement in the 1976 or 1979 UBC. Any idea what part of the code it might be?

1979 UBC section 2308 references Table 23-B, Special Loads, with "Ceiling framing (live load) all uses except over stages" at 10 psf with some exceptions listed in the table footnotes.
