Hello everyone!

I have a big problem concerning worm gears. My question is mainly about how to calculate the exact speed and torque after the consideration of efficiency in worm gears. I only know
η = 100% · Pout / Pin

How can I calculate the exact speed and torque according to efficiency?

Speed is easy - it's just the gear ratio. For torque you would have to know some specifics on the worm and worm gear. Lead angle of the worm is the most significant factor in efficiency. Typically for a single stage reduction you would see between 50% to 90% efficiency.

Soheil-jigz,

You have written out the equation for when you know pout and pin. If you know pin and [η], you should be able to work out pout, easily. What is your engineering background?
