calculating a slab

Hi

I`m trying to calculate with StaadPro2002 a 4-story concrete building (plate supported only on columns) . But I don`t know how I should calculate the slabs (should I use STARDYNE analysis or STAAD engine) and how to interpret the results.Does anyone has an example how to do this?
