I have a 6" x 6" flat plate. I would like the left half to be red and the right half to be blue. I also want the two colors to blend in the middle, not just go from red to blue. Is this a function in solidworks colors or rendering?

Sibartoo,
You can achieve your desired results using the lighting functions in Solidworks. 'Lights,Cameras, and Scene' folder (I think Photoworks needs to be active)

Add a Spot-Light to one side with red lighting and a Spot-Light to the other with blue lighting.

See attached images.

It takes a lot of playing around with the different values to get the effect you want.

Good Luck.

if I insert the part file you created into an assembly, will it retain the lighting effects?
