API 605 ? 1

Hello folks!
I'm trying to match a bolt pattern of a flange that I can't access so I'm stuck with crusty old reference dwgs. Most are marked 36" IPS 150# API-605 FS RF WN although one is marked 36" IPS Class "D" Steel Ring Flange.

ON THE FIRST DESIGNATION:
I know htat the API605 dimensions are incorporated in ASME B16.47 series B, but the Iron Pipe Size throws me off. Does this mean anything related to dimensions? The bolt pattern is 1/8" difference in diameter from the API605/16.47B dimensions that I have.

ON THE SECOND:
Never seen this before, I fugre SOMEone on here has though. Any ideas?

There are AWWA waterworks flanges that are available in large size, cut from plate, that come in Class "D", etc. AWWA C207, I believe. Look on the Texas Flange webpage and you should find them there. Class D is the same drilling as 150# flanges, but is a thinner flange, usually with no hub, flat-faced.

I would think the IPS in the first case relates to the size of the weld neck, not the flange itself (IE, 36" steel pipe is 36.00" OD, not ID, etc.)

If the bolt circles are 1/8" different, you should still be able to bolt them up- I don't know if that's some sort of no-no or something, though. I would think it was a typo in one table or another, rather than a change in actual bolt circle, though.

JStephen, thanks you much. Apologies for not getting back, I was out of town for a bit there and honestly forgot that I had posted this in more than one forum. What you said jives with what we were thinking as well. TX Flange has been a good resource for me in the past, I go there all the time. Them and Portland Bolt. Thanks!
