Hi, I'm new to actuators. but I have an application now that requires
one.
The maximum thrust of the actuator needed is 5000 lb. Most of
the time, it doesn't have to move, but rather just "hold" a 5000lb
load. The maximum stroke needed is 4 cm. The maximum velocity needed
is 0.1 m/s.
Can anyone tell me which manufacture has such a product, and
generally, how costly are such devices (if mass produced).
Also nice to know the power consumption. Is the correct way to figure out power consumtion simply the thrust multiplied by maximum velocity? Does it require this much power all the time or depends on load?
Also nice to know the weight, lighter is strongly preferred. Don't know if it's possible to keep it under 50lb.
Thanks.
