AC - DC controller/psu chip

Has anyone come across a device for lowpower mains AC to DC conversion ?. I am looking for 250mA@12V from 230VAC for lighting pwuposes(isolation not a concern)

I remember an article presenting such a device. Gaah I don't remember the company's name. Keep on searching, it does exist!
 
skenn; 4-shore, just use a wall wart or a cord wart! They provide isolation(always nice to have). They also suck in 90-250VAC usually without complaint. You can look around and find them pretty cheap too.
 
I don't want to use bricks, because my solution will be ceiling mounted, maybe inside the lamp (LEDarray) fitting it'self
 
Dang...almost !. I need 24V...or 400mA@12V. Maybe still workable...thanks sreid
