My Google kung-fu and the ABB web site have failed me.

My local utility has a motor starting study done in FeederAll, and they are willing to share the project file with me. The problem is that I don't have FeederAll and cannot for the life of me find how to purchase / download / access the program. All I can find are some ABB newsletters that discuss upgrades to FeederAll that occured in 2010.

Can anyone help?

Best to you,

Goober Dave

Forgot to mention -- local ABB rep hasn't been able to help. If it costs lots of $$$ I may not want it.

I can't verify this, but I've heard ABB may be discontinuing that product. A major utility in my area currently uses FeederAll, but is searching for a new vendor. They may not be selling anymore. I wish I could give more than "maybes" and "I thinks", but I can't find any info either.

We've used it in the past, but were given a license by the utility to use for one particular project. It definitely was not free, and was quite expensive at the time.

I don't know about its current status. I never hear much about it.

It is discontinued. My company is currently using it, but is in the process of transitioning to another product. The most current version is 2012.0 You may be able to get some traction on getting a copy from ABB with the info I will PM to you (to avoid having them get spammed...).

Good job JG...I discovered this site doesn't allow PM's that I can tell... :p

For future use when google kung-fu fails you, this is how I found it...

go to click search, type in feederall
click view more results in download center
click advanced search
click include all document revisions
click search
top search result is FeederAll Data Sheet [Archive]

sometimes it also helps to include all countries and languages if it is particularly hard to find.

If that doesn't work, ask that number to connect you (or give you the number to) Rocio Olguin or Colby Tow in Sugarland, TX.

Thanks folks,

OverV, when I called and asked for those folks, the operator asked me to try my local rep first. Turns out it was a completely different firm from the one I contacted first, and they're just about two miles from my office. They also cover Tennessee, which is a bonus since that's where I usually wind up battling with utilities over motor-starting flicker.

Your Sugarland friends solved my issue without me even bothering them. I'll keep their names in my ABB file, in case I get work west of the Mississippi.

Happy guy, I am. Hmmm... I seem to be channeling Yoda. May The Force be with you.

Best to you,

Goober Dave
