Hi,

I´m looking for a 4-20mA to Foudation Fieldbus protocol converter, I know that exists temperature, pressure, flow, etc transmitters that have a fielbus output, but I want to know where I can find a kind of converter that I can put inside a panel so that I can run my 4-20mA or pt100 signals to this converter and have an unique fieldbus output.

Please let me know if somebody knows an equipment that match this configuration

As far as I know there is no such thing as converter that I can put inside a "panel" and convert analog signals to fieldbus. If you have a control system already existing with fieldbus and your field devices are analogue without fieldbus capability, then there should be HART protocol co-existing with fieldbus. HART has co-resident analogue and digital communication capabilities which can link your field devices with the control system. The transmitter, however shall be HART enabled. Otherwise, change your field device to a one with fieldbus or HART.

It is prefered to go for software solution in this case rather than installing a hardware like a "converter".

(is your problem a real one or just "thinking" about the reverse possibility?)
