Check your sketch. I created a sketch with 3 circles (2 identical) and extruded the feature curves. I got 2 solids from one extrude. Maybe the sheet body comes from an almost complete full arc.

You would need to recreate the Pattern Geometry but with associativity turned off.

No need to enlarge the bounded planes, Face Blend will span the gaps:

You can break the section curves down to 2 curves instead of one, i.e. 2 arcs instead of a circle.

It doesn't happen on exiting the dialogue box, but it seems like the measurement function does lock up my computer for a minute or so maybe 10% of the time. Haven't really noticed any other hang ups. NX1953.

I will cling to the old sketcher as long as possible, then probably retire. I've been a NX fanboy for decades, not so much with the new sketcher.

Actually, Isoparametric does work, I just forgot to set it for U and V.

I used the edges to create a ruled sheet body but isoparametric curves didn't work. Instead, I used Offset in Face to offset one edge of the ruled body half the face width, then created a tube that essentially matches your original. Part file also attached.

I downloaded a STEP file of a spring and used the ruled surface/isoparametric curve approach to recreate the centerline. I used the isoparametric curve to recreate the tube and it seems to work. I tried to create a Tube Centerline using both faces of the tube but it failed. Tube Centerline does...

Tried to open the file but found no geometry. 2.2KB is pretty small for a STEP file.

Does the edge that runs lengthwise on the tube have a diametrically opposed counterpart? If it does, it might be worth a shot to create a ruled surface between them then create an isoparametric curve on that surface to determine the centerline.

You could try Synchronous Modeling "Offset Region" and select all the faces except the blends into the main body.
