    Pipe Deflection using CAESAR

You are right that is what I mean, there is a guide for piping supports used by my company establishing 15 mm max for pipe diam. <24", that is my max deflection. As well is included a top of 50% of basic allowable stress at operation temperature for bending stress limit.

    Pipe Deflection using CAESAR

Hi everyone, i know that if i want to have the deflection number, i must use a node at interest point, but when i'm checking a model a maximum deflection is one of my goal, so is there a way in CAESAR to set a max deflection or max bending stress in order to get a warning?. What if i want to...

    B31.3 hydrotest code check

Hello everyone i'm doing an stress analysis using HYD case.I would like to know why a piping system do code stress check and the other dont. Both using B31.3 and same HP. Thanks for your help

    HTRI Shell Geometry Output

Hi, anyone could help to understand the meanning of this part of the output summary given by HTRI software, when it says (Shell geometry) Series 1 and Parallel 2, i think this is i need 1 row of 2 equipment in parallel. How if Series 2 and Parallel 5?

    Valve TRIM materials

Which code defines TRIM materials, i've been searching and found in API 600 a table with basic trim mateials, this is the right one or there is other. API 6D don't mention it neither ASME B16.34. My valve is a 20" gate type API 6D.

Check valve located into piggable portion of a pipeline

I dont get this,"The question there is why the heck did they try to pig it", would you explain your question please.

Check valve located into piggable portion of a pipeline

my case is ralated with an oilduct it cross a river and B31.4 recommends to use block valve up and downstream the river border to minimize oil to spill and it could be a gate or a check valve, the thing is using check valve could cause the pig to stuck, some one has use one.

Check valve located into piggable portion of a pipeline

ASME B31.4 state as mainline pipelines: all in-line pipeline pipes, fittings, bends, elbows, check valves, and block valves between scraper traps. So it is a good practice to install a check valve (swing check valve)in a pipeline when pigging is required? thanks to all

DIFFERENCE ALLOWABLE STRESS BETWEEN PVELITE AND B31.3

The three give a value for this material, thanks to gr2vessels i solved my doubts, if you are going to design a piping system under B31.3 tablae A-1, pag 144, S will be 23.3 ksi, in other hand for pressure vessels Div 1, Section II, Part D, Table 1A,Pag 18 to 20,line 22, S= 20 ksi those tables...

DIFFERENCE ALLOWABLE STRESS BETWEEN PVELITE AND B31.3

Right! i just figured out, and get to Section II, Part D, Table A1, these and others applay for Div 1, now im going to check out table 5A to see Alloweble Stress aplicable to Div 2
