    Closure test

There are six different seat leakage classifications as defined by ANSI FCI 70-2. This is used for mostly assembled control valves. Do a search on FCI-20.

    Flow Measurement on Heater Passess

What is a good flow measurement technology being used successfully in different refineries. The application is hot oil (400 C), 0.83 sp. gravity, 1.2 cp viscosity at 500 psig in 6" line at heater inlet. Normal flowrate is 10KBPD, max. is 20 KBPD. There is 1-2% solids in the stream. No purge oil...

    Non intrusive flow meter

The best possible solution is a strap on sonrtrac flowmeter. It has been tested on heavy oil service (oilsands). It is easier to install and no shutdowns are required. The only catch is that fluid velocity has to be greater than 3 ft/sec. We've been using them on our site and they are virtually...

    Brine flow measurement, non-contact

Try CiDra flowmeters. They are non-intrusive and do not require a shutdown for maintenance or installation. Slightly higher side on cost but maintenance free and reliability is excellent. You can look for cidra sonartrac flowmeters on internet.

    Valve Selection Courses / Information

Check out Fisher Controls website. The do have good training programs about valve selection

    Accessories of Control Valve

The right hand side devices look like volume boosters for open and close position. The left side device is a lock up device. Volume boosters will make the valve move quicker. Lock up device will keep the valve in last position in case of air failure, since this is a piston type actuator and at...

    ROXAR Meters

We have used Roxar watercut meters but have no experience with multiphase flowmetering.

    Custody FlowMeter

Depending on the line size and measured fluid, 1) <6" Coriolis 2) >6" Turbine + Density 3) >6" Mag + Density 4) Orifice + Density You can also use a multipass ultrasonic. If the line size is really big e.g. >12" and your customer approves, you can use SonarTrac by CiDRA which is...

    Krohne Ultrasonic Flow meter

Has anyone has any real field experience with thier product. How they perform as compare to other ultrsonic flow meters. Thanks.

    Looking for water cut sensors

We use both Roxar and Phase dynamics. Roxar is generally good for Higher water concentrations (0-100%) and Phase dynamics work better with lower water concentration (0-10%). Typically, Phase Dynamics require more maintenance than Roxar.

    Density measurement for slurries

Bubbler is another option. It is cheap, easy to maintain. Accuracy is around + - 1-2%

    Field instrumentation prices

Try http://www.omega.com/ They usually publish prices of several instruments on the web.

    Knife Gate Valves

Hello Valve experts! We have a water booster pump circuit which has suction, discharge and bypass valves (all 24"). The water is mixed upstream of this pump with caustic due to process requirement (pH = 8-8.5, Sp. Gravity = 0.97, Pressure at suction is 60 psi and discharge is 100 psi, Temp. is...

Butterfly valve design: conc, ecc, doubl ecc or triple eccentric?

Asereng, could you please post the link for that paper here. I tried to google it but "it was not found" Thanks
