..additional question, does anyone utilize any type of resource planning (calendar, database, etc.) to schedule the use of the tokens?

My organization will be renewing our token licenses shortly, but it appears that we are not utilizing our licenses to their capacity across several locations. Can anyone provide insight into how you manage tokens across an organization at an optimum level?
We have 45 tokens globally across 5...

Insert model items - this will insert dimensions, cosmetic treads, datums, annotations, etc. into a drawing view.
From the drop down menu "Insert", select Model items - you can then select a "source". There are several different options that you can select, and this may help.

Did you try to insert model items? You could always add points in the drawing view too. Make them coincident to the points on the elipse and then dimension from point to point to show the overall length and width of the elipse.

Did you rebuild all of the configurations? The only volumes that will update in the design table are for the configs that have been rebuilt. I use this method often, for 200+ configurations, and everything will populate correctly once fully rebuilt.

Handleman,
Not much experience at all. I can write some simple code, but basically trying to learn as I go.

First, the background - we have products that can fit into many applications, the same product can be used in several hardware configurations, so I have created drawing templates that we use, and all that needs to be done is to change the configuration of one drawing view within a drawing. I...
Are these inserted dimensions (insert, model items) or reference dimensions that you created in the drawing? If the dimensions were created in the drawing, I do not believe that you can move them from view to view, this only works for dimensions that were created using the insert, model items...
Jeff and Chris are right on - if you want to make sure that your view is active, double click the view before you start the sketch.

I have seen something similar to this before - try double-clicking on the section line twice, (it will reverse the section if you only do it once)it should regenerate the section view - hopefully that will help.

You could always copy the parent view and detail view - hide the parent view in the new drawing - right click, hide view, and when the message asks to hide children also, select no.

designmr,
You can have a leader on both sides, but SolidWorks seems to determine if the leader is on one side or both. You can add a second leader and drag the note around to a position where a leader is on both sides.
Hope this helps.

You still cannot add a jog to a dimension leader, as far as I know, but you can to a note leader. You could always create a note, link the dimension value to the note and hide the dimension. You would then be able to add a jog to the note.
Hope this helps.

I have had this happen at times when I am zoomed in too close to the note and the toolbar does not popup. Have you tried to dock the toolbar anywhere? Right click on any toolbar and select the Formatting Toolbar. It should then be visible.
