    Giving Notice of Leaving

Beggar Actions speak louder than words and you are the only person that can evaluate on site and make that decision. Despite the 'policy' of instant termination and no severance pay, is that what actually happens? For example if your existing work environment fits the definition of an...

    Giving Notice of Leaving

Isn't it something like a quid pro quo? If the employer is able to remove you at a moments notice, without repercussions, then you have an obligation to respond in kind. One thing you can do on this earth is educate without turning the other cheek.

Raceway surface and subsurface failure in ball brgs.

    100% Iodine...Ouch ! ! !

Here are your choices according to Philip A Schweitzer, P.E. (assumes undiluted iodine) Hastelloy C/C-276 1 apparently is excellent to 260 deg C. Note same alloy does not fare as well with diluted iodine Tantellum apparently is good to 149 deg. C Excellent = <2 mils /year Good =<20 mils /year...

change C3 clrearance to CN (by change the bearing seat )

Gerry45 delivers an interesting discussion point. By definition, old wives last longer. I cannot resist speculating that it is so because they stay with what they know @:)

    Preventing bearing wear

I neglected to mention that in the drawing a pump is also depicted. (for moving drawing click on integrated sysyem)It is only neccessary to pull lubricant down the bearing with a bi-directional pump when the shaft is required to rotate in both directions, as is the case for a boat propeller shaft.

Consequences of electrically bonding SST to carbon steel

It reminds me of an article I read about a French LTA craft. During its construction and before it was allowed permission to take off it had to comply with safety regulations that demanded hand-rails. The hand rails were duly installed to spec and the craft was no longer LTA. Were the...
