Wood diaphragm interaction of forces

Obviously shear loads drive the design of a diaphragm, but why is flexure (say due to gravity loads) never considered in the design of a plywood diaphragm? It seems intuitive that there should be some sort of interaction equation for shear and flexure. Maybe something similar to: fa/FA + fb/FB < 1.0

The load combinations also imply that interaction of forces be considered (D + 0.75S + 0.75W or D +0.75S + 0.7E)

If it is considered, I have not been able to find any information online, in IBC, or examples in wood design books.

Any thoughts?

Probably the diaphragm takes some flexural stress, but sheets of plywood are not continuous, so it is not the type of action we like to rely upon. Usually, bending moments in a diaphragm are resisted by continuous edge members.
