Hi all,
We manufacture small trailers(1,500 to 3,000 lbs) and have just received in a container of wheels that do not mate to the hubs of the axles correctly. It appears that the center of the disk was rolled too far in when punched making the hub to disk mating surface be exclusively the inner lip rather than the lip and the outer surface of the disk. I have spent some time on the SAE web site attempting to find a standard relating to this mating surface and while I think I MAY have found one I am not sure. Other than the brief description you appear to have to "pay your $200 and take your chances".
Can anyone here tell me if there is a standard controlling these mating surfaces? and if there is one, which standard is it so we can purchase it?
Thank you
Jim
