Hello:

We have Westinghouse Power Centers in one of our buildings. These centers have ASLR dry type transformers (12.47kV,500/666kVA, 150 degree C rise, Sharon Plant, 1978)). Recently one of these transformer caught fire and released a lot of smoke over a period of 1/2 hour. Our fire dept. did manage to extiguish the fire. Our environmental branch asked for a MSDS sheet detailing the insulation flash point and other info. In the absence of an MSDS sheet they asked for the insulation material type.

I was wondering if any one has any information on this type of transformer.

Thank you!

I believe that division of the old Westinghouse Electric Co. has been absorbed by ABB Power T&D.

If they can't help, much of the old Westinghouse Services Division was absorbed by Siemens Industrial Services, they have a lot of the old Westinghouse drawings and project data archives.
