Hi,

I'm working on study of historic building and using ASCE 41-06 as the governing code. To calculate the base shear V of the building, one of the applicable equations is 3-15. It includes Vy, which is supposed to be calculated from a graph similar to Figure 3-1. We don't have that graph and I think generating that graph would be way too time consuming for a one story building (admittedly, I don't even know how to). Does anyone know what value I can/should take for Vy for a wood building constructed in 1940's?

Thanks very much,

Dinesh
