I just switched from v8 2004 to v8i and I am having problems with unwanted vertices. Whether I'm drawing a line or arc or measuring, I often get an unwanted vertex between my first and second snap points. After I make the first snap and move the mouse toward the second snap point, I will get an intermediate point as if I had clicked the mouse. My coworkers have had the same problem to varying degrees. Is this a feature or a bug?

it sounds like you are talking about the divisor. i am familiar with that setting but it seems that it would be an issue if i were trying to snap...the problem i'm having is while i'm moving the mouse. I'll successfully snap to a point, then as i'm moving the mouse to the next point, without clicking the left button, the wheel or a two button chord, another vertex will be added at a random point (nothing to snap to). its as if my line is getting "snagged" as I move the mouse.

Jeremyk55,
Are you doing a left click and drag when editing or left click then left click?

You may want to change the setting
Workspace>Preferences>Input>Click Sensitivity from "Normal" to "Slow".

assuming accusnap is on, left click and release to start the line, then move the mouse to the next point and left click again. between those separate left clicks, i often get an unwanted vertex...maybe 20% of the time...never had this happen in previous versions. i will try changing the sensitivity.

I believe the click sensitivity setting worked, i haven't had the problem for the past two days

thanks
