I'm interested in knowing about the challenges and best practices of using Ultrasonic Testing (UT)inspection on vessels constructed from carbon steel with a vinyl or glass liner. I have been told that if the vessel is lined a UT is not performed. I am also reading data that it is possible. Can anyone share insights or experiences related to Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or other non-destructive testing methods specific to these types of vessels?
