UPS or Diesel Generator with ATS

Hi everybody!
You know we could use UPS system or Diesel Gen.Set with ATS for emergency standby. But I wonder when and which system we choose?

If your load can't tolerate losing power for the few seconds it takes a Diesel to start and stabilize, you need both.

You could use a fly wheel as well, but confirm that meets your application because they are pretty specific.
