Unwarranted Signal Liability

Has anyone heard of an agency being held liable for an accident at an intersection with an unwarranted traffic signal? I've heard there's been cases, but I've not been able to get any details.

We have heard of several cases being brought againsts agencies - but as long as they were testing their equipment they usually ended up throwing the case out. You might want to contact the Town of Hobbs, New Mexico - They might be able to help you out -
