Hello,
We found the leak on 600mm watermain connect from underground wells to water reservoir. We do not know how big is the leak. and because it is on main we donot have more than a day to keep ground open. for that reason, we bought repair clamp and coupler in case.
my question in this situation how to assess pipe integrity by existing leak to make decision weather I should use the clamp or coupler.
pressure on pipe stay around 100 PSI.

regards,

IMO, since the repairing time is short and critical, you may do a quick fix temporarily either with a clamp or coupler depending on the condition of the pipe leak, i.e. pin hole leak, crack, location, etc. And then, if necessary, go back to the office and plan a permanent fix in the later day.

Have both methods on hand
Full circle repair band and
have 2 couplings and a length of pipe (the leak may be several small ones along the length)
during the fix if possible inspect the interior to see if it is just local or you need to plan
a full replacement
