unanswerable question,,on shrinking paper

here is a question i have been researching for a long, long time,,and no one can answer it,,,,what is the chemical that was used to shrink a u.s. dollar to about 70 percent of its original size,,,i bought one at a money show a few years back,,and cant find out how it was done,,,can you help,,,if you can,,please do,,thanks so much,,rovah
