Hi all,
Can anyone give guidance regarding why UCS-66 uses tr when calculating the MDMT coincident ratio and not tug-45?
I am actually performing a API 579-1 brittle fracture evaluation and I have been using tug-45 for my tmin in the stress ratio calculation. I just realized that COMPRESS and other packages actually use tr not tug-45 in the MDMT calcs. I assume API 579 is based off of ASME Section VIII, therefore should be very similar. I can obviously take a much larger MDMT reduction if tug-45 is used.
Any advice, help, experience???
