Does anybody know anything about Twisted Tube Heat Exchanger? It claims that its performance is better than convectional HE. Due to the use of twisted tube inside, no baffles are used so the weight is relatively lighter and smaller. Also it is vibration-free. Any comments welcome. Thanks.

If you can get hold of it I suggest you read the Today's Refinery article on Refining Details Notebook by Art Gardner of September 1998, dealing with Twisted Tube Heat Exchangers. [pipe]

I'd advise to register at Brown Fintubes website and going to their "technical articles" section. as twisted tube hx is a registered trademark of brown fintubes they should be able to give you all neccessary information.

this is the direct link to their online library, which also sports an article named "Design and Application of Twisted-Tube Heat Exchangers", which somehow sound exactly like what you're looking for =).
