we are looking for turbocharger for range of 50 to 75 hp engines. Could somebody provide turbocharger manufacturers/suppliers details.

You might try looking at IHI Turbo America. I'am playing with their RHF3, it was the smallest one I could find for a little bike engine. I got it thru Briggs and it is off one of their 3 cylinder water cooler engines.

I have one on my '93 Harley which in its stock form put out 50 HP. Turbocharged without any other (major) modifications it puts out 91HP. Not bad really. I know they make turbos for other applications as well. The only question is if they are still in business. They are a great bunch of guys, so give 'em a try.

How does the engine and drive train hold up under that much power increase? Is your engine water cooled?

In the absence of a reply from Uebele, I would offer that the Harley is an aircooled engine (assisted by a degree of oil cooling). The Harley Davidson motorcycles are traditionally heavily engineered for their performance. Uebele doesn't say which model his bike is, but they are all relatively large capacity (1000cc+).

It sounds like a 1340 cc big twin by the horse power. I have installed gear driven super chargers on those engines. The drive train is quite strong out of the factory.

They make turbo kits for bikes, check out some of these kits and you should find a manfacture who should have the correct turbo and maps for your application.

I'm using the superchargers off the new Mini Cooper S to supercharge bikes. You can get tham for around £100 from ebay and they are idal for either blow through or draw through set up. They dont need an oil feed and can be mounted in any plane. Far better than a turbo as there is no lag.
