Tube Bundle Replacement

What is the percentange of damaged/leaked and then pluged tubes of heat exchanger which describes the requirement of complete replacement of tubebundle. Which code/standard describes this percentage of tubes
For Example there 430 tubes and 17 found damaged and pluged is there need to replace the tubebundle

I think a common rule of thumb is 10% but i am not aware of any standards. Does the HX still do the job? Try to see if you in the original design document can find any margin added to the required area and then if you are still below these margin (including any other changes in say flow or temperature of the medias) then you are still fine

What MortenA says makes sense but in most cases the manufacturer will give a guideline in the IOM (Installation & Operation Manual)
