Hey folks,
what is a good period of time to wait between pouring the building footing and the building foundation/piers? Assuming no special admixtures for early high strength and we shall say normal (type 10) concrete.

thanks

Here is a short article that addresses your question directly

My experiences are in agreement with the article - placement is acceptable as soon as practical (often the next day). The important issue is not to damage the in-place concrete and to continue to cure all the concrete for a reasonable time (typically 7 days).

Quite interesting -
My gut feeling would be to allow for more time since 24 hours (with no admixture) is pretty short and the concrete is pretty green at that point.
Interesting that there is no clear standard on the issue.

thanks
