Hey guys,
Is there any way to Thicken a set of "disjoint" faces? I have a wing structure model that is all sheet bodies which I use for doing 2D shell elements and structural analysis. However, I now need to Thicken these sheet bodies in my .prt files to their appropriate thicknesses so that I can calculate the total mass of everything. This wing model has about 30 ribs, a few hundred stiffeners, spar webs, and more, not to mention 30 thickness values among all those different types of geometries. Thus, it would help me IMMENSELY if I could Thicken sets of sheet bodies at the same time. Currently, it's giving me the error message of "Cannot sew a single sheet from input faces. Input faces may be disjoint." This occurs when I'm trying to apply a symmetric thickness (offset 1 = -offset 2) to a set of rib sheet bodies that are not physically touching but should all have the same thickness applied them.
If anyone knows how if it is possible to use Thicken in the manner I am intending or some different command that would allow me to thicken multiple sheet bodies at once that would be awesome, thanks!
