thermal stability of ASA

Hello,

Do you know what is the thermal resistance, generally, for ASA? It's influenced of the polymer formulation (content of SAN)? If so, what kind of analyse is advisable to show the proportion of components?
Ii is possible that a piece from ASA to deform after sun exposure (during very hot summer)?

You can download the mechanical properties of ASA, e.g. Luran S from Styrolution (formerly BASF) e.g. from their website or matweb.com and look for the Vicat or HDT which is the maximum temperature before deformation. I used to be Global Product Development Manager for that family of products. The HDT/Vicat for Luran S 778T is 105C so one should not exceed that temperature. Other grades could be lower depending on the type of SAN used.

Right. There are two standard defined loads and you choose the one that's best based on how much load your part is expected to be under.
