I'd like to measure the temperature near a RF plasma generated with a power of 1 kW. The plasma is inside a low pressure aluminium chamber. I've used liquid crystal temp "badges" that change colour. Would like something more real time.

depending on the temperature ranges you're looking at, you might try using a fiber-optic sensor system made by FISO technologies (<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> think their sensors go up to about 200 C and have an accuracy of about 0.5 C. We have one of their systems and have been happy with it---costs a lot more than liquid crystal stickies, though!

Thanks sford
A rough idea of cost would be useful.
