I haven't got the 9th Ed. TEMA just yet, but it looks like they have replaced RCB-8 Flexible Shell Elements with an FEA approach. TEMA is distributing Paulin's software (news 11/14/07) to do this analysis. The current flanged and flued expansion joint analysis in COMPRESS is based on TEMA 8th Ed.

Tom, what is COMPRESS going to do when TEMA 8th Ed becomes invalid (6 months after Nov 20 2007)? Will COMPRESS users get access to Paulin's FSE FEA, like we do NozzlePro? If there is an extra fee, do you know what it will be?

Thanks.

I now have the 9th Ed. TEMA in hand an they have indeed removed the Kopp and Sayre analysis and gone to only FEA. Is there anything you can tell us about any plans to incorporate this into COMPRESS?

Yes, there are plans to implement 9th. Ed TEMA into COMPRESS. However, there is much other work "in the pipeline" to be completed before this can be implemented.
