I am using SW 2009 SP2.1

I have a layout sketch in an assembly that I used to create blocks. I then made parts from the blocks. These parts are gears that make up a planetary gearbox. I added gear mates to the parts and it all moved together very nicely as expected. After spinning it around for the umpteenth time, one of the gears was not rotating about its center any more. This spread to the other gears like a virus and now all of the gears are spinning on some eccentric path.

It appears that the Insertion Points of these blocks has been moved and I cannot seem to place it back in the center of rotation. Any ideas?

This same document also produces a pop-up asking "Would you like to rebuild the document before saving?" when I have clearly not prompted it to save.
