Can anyone recommend a book or papers about the engineering of suspension bushes and mounts? Most of the automotive books I have devote a paragraph if anything.

Are you talking about designing the rubber so that it is durable and has a certain load deflection curve in 6 axes?

I have the original of this, it is good on basics

However everything else I know is either proprietary or from experience.

Hi Greg, many thanks.
What I'm looking for is the different designs for different applications and different markets, such as hydrobush, split bush, calibrated bush; what to expect and how to balance radial, axial, torsional static and dynamic stiffness and loss angle requirements for different applications; how to specify force displacement curves and how all these considerations impact durability, rolling plushness, impact feel, shake, steering precision and linearity.

...or a few papers I guess. The question is, which book? I'll have a trawl through SAE
